Union Arbresloise

2015 Exhibition

An exhibition of local artists belonging to the painting section of the Union Arbreloise ran from the 2nd to 17th September 2015 at the Multimedia Library of L'Arbresle, Rhône, France

The exhibition featured around 110 works in different media. The theme for this year, for which we all tried to do at least one work, was music.

This marked the first year in which I decided from the outset to produce a set of works on a single theme. From the abstract paintings Voyage and Orbit, I went back to photographic sources to make Destination and Descent. The four works together describe a journey into space. The drawing of Pierre was a neat way to combine the end of year theme with a promise to my son to do his portrait.
